Appointments
All consultations are booked as a standard appointment up to 15-minutes.
If you have more than one health issue to discuss, please request a longer appointment at the time of booking.
In the case of emergency walk-ins, each situation will be individually assessed and scheduled accordingly.
Sutton Street Medical does not monitor the email system for queries or appointments. Please call or visit our website. No clinical and medical information is shared via email.
Missed or Cancelled Appointments
Please cancel appointments if the service is not needed. This helps us maintain high-quality patient care and allows us to offer the appointment to another patient in need.
Fees and Billing Arrangements
Sutton Street Medical is a mixed billing practice. All New Patients will be charged for their initial consultation. Subsequent visits may be bulk billed. Current Centrelink Card Holders, Children aged under 16 and DVA Gold Card Holders may be privately Billed by some doctors.

Management of Your Personal Health Information
Your personal health information is collected and used directly in association with your health care. It is a confidential document, and it is the policy of this practice to always maintain the security of medical records. We will ensure that your information is only available to authorised staff or seek your permission before disclosing it to any third party.
If you have any concerns about your health information privacy, please let your doctor or one of our staff know.
Cultural Background and Ethnicity
It is the commitment of our practice to provide the best preventative care. To ensure that your care is tailored to your needs, staff at this practice encourage patients to identify their cultural background and/or ethnicity on their medical record. If you identify with a particular cultural background, please let your doctor or reception staff know.
Interpreter Service
If you require an interpreter, please let reception know upon making your appointment. Alternatively, contact the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450 directly and please advise reception. If you are hearing impaired and require an AUSLAN interpreter, we can also organize this for you.
Health and Safety
Please refrain from eating and drinking in the surgery.
Smoking and Vaping is prohibited in our center.
Children must be always supervised. No mobile phones to be used inside the surgery.
Telephone Access
If you wish to speak with your doctor on the telephone, please call the practice and speak to reception to arrange a telephone consultation appointment. We are unable to interrupt our doctors during consultations with patients.
In an emergency, it is advised to call 000.
Test Results
All test results are strictly confidential and to protect your privacy this practice does not give results to patients over the telephone.
The doctor will advise you at the time of testing when you can expect your results to return. All urgent results will be followed up with the patient directly.
Reminder System
Our practice is committed to providing you with the best preventative care possible. Practice staff will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system and may issue you with a reminder notice on occasion. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or practice staff know.
Home Visits
Home visits are available to patients at the doctor’s discretion.
Parking
Access to car parking is on Sutton Street, also plenty of parking at the back of the surgery, including disabled parking spaces, accessed from Violet Street.
